You didn't open a music school to spend your life putting out fires.

Most owners are stuck inside the business — teaching, selling, scheduling, fixing — with no time to actually lead it. Founder's Forum moves you from the center of every decision to the head of a school that runs on strategy and systems.

BEFORE THE FORUM

The reactive operator

  • Overwhelmed and doing everything yourself
  • Unclear strategy, week-to-week firefighting
  • Guessing at the numbers
  • Stuck behind an enrollment ceiling
  • The business depends on you for everything

AFTER THE FORUM

The confident CEO

  • A clear annual strategy and roadmap
  • Calm, deliberate leadership
  • Financial command of the business
  • Systems, SOPs, and an empowered team
  • A growing school that runs without you

Five outcomes you can see, prove, and feel.

These aren't promises — they're the changes Founder's Forum members consistently describe by the end of the season.

REACTIVE OWNER -> STRATEGIC CEO

Lead with a plan instead of reacting to problems.

You leave with a clear strategic plan for your school — priorities, projects, and leadership focus for the year ahead. Annual planning is consistently the single most powerful transformation members point to.

Annual Planning | Quarterly Focus | Clear Priorities

FINANCIAL GUESSWORK -> FINANCIAL FLUENCY

Lead your business through the numbers.

Simple financial tracking lets you answer the questions that matter: Are we profitable? Where is money leaking? What should we invest in next? Members routinely call the financial training a game-changer for how they decide.

Profit Clarity | Tracking Systems | Smarter Investment

FOUNDER BOTTLENECK -> A SCHOOL THAT RUNS ON SYSTEMS

Build a school that no longer depends on you.

Members install real operational systems -- hiring pipelines, delegation structures, SOPs, dashboards, and enrollment processes. With our guidance, one member built 40 SOPs.

SOPs and Dashboards| Hiring Pipelines | Delegation

ISOLATION -> A CIRCLE OF TRUSTED ADVISORS

Stop running your school alone.

Inside the Forum you gain a tight peer group of founders facing the same challenges. That means faster decisions, shared learning, and the resilience that comes from not carrying it by yourself. Members describe the group as invaluable.

Founder Peers| Shared Learning | Accountability

GOOD IDEAS -> REAL EXECUTION

Finally follow through on what you already know.

Most owners know what they should do. The Forum adds the structure, coaching, and accountability that turn intentions into progress -- new hires, new systems, stronger enrollment, and better leadership habits.

Real schools. Real numbers.

A look at what members built during their time in the Forum. All of these are what members reported to us in their own words!

  • Doubled monthly revenue in about a year, from $9,000 to $18,000 after moving out of a home studio into a dedicated commercial space.
  • Grew from 200 to 280 students in 4–5 months after being stuck at ~200 students for 2–3 years, by making a clear plan, sticking to it, and involving the team.
  • Hit an all‑time tuition record of $75,000 in March, up about 28% year‑over‑year, the highest month the studio has ever had.
  • Reached 310 enrolled students, finally breaking past a long‑standing goal of 300 students.
  • Nearly doubled capacity by moving from a 100 sq ft room to a 2,000 sq ft building, enabling the studio to grow past previous hard caps on enrollment.
  • Expanded from being effectively a solo teacher studio into a true school with team infrastructure, including a sales manager–level admin and an events/social media manager.
  • As a group, multiple members:
    - Moved from home studios to commercial locations
    - Crossed major enrollment thresholds (200 → 280, 300+, 100+ students)
    - Hit record‑breaking revenue months
    - Transitioned from “I do everything” to genuine teams with empowered leaders
    - Implemented data dashboards, SOPs, and annual/quarterly planning with staff for the first time.
  • Established a program that runs completely without the owner’s involvement, and is now only one step away from having nothing to do with sales.
  • Built a leadership team where key staff own and run major programs (e.g., preschool), handling hiring, training, and lesson planning with minimal owner involvement.
  • Created a culture where staff know they can make decisions without running everything by the owner, eliminating the bottleneck at the top.
  • Turned an admin into a “force multiplier” who now operates as a true partner in the school, stepping into sales management and operational leadership.
  • Launched (and is expanding) a values‑based hiring system, shifting away from designing roles around whoever applies, and instead hiring to a clear vision and culture.
  • Built and promoted a key team member into an assistant manager before hitting the 400‑student goal, strengthening retention and commitment (“I have a good job, I have a career”).
  • Introduced regular, structured data tracking (metrics dashboards, monthly sheets for open room spots, marketing spend, etc.) where previously data was a “weak spot.”
  • Introduced regular, structured data tracking (metrics dashboards, monthly sheets for open room spots, marketing spend, etc.) where previously data was a “weak spot.”
  • Increased marketing courage and discipline, moving from virtually $0 in marketing spend to a clear commitment to invest in Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other paid marketing.
  • Built a system where, whenever the owner has to “step in and figure something out,” it is immediately turned into an SOP (often via ChatGPT) to remove the owner from the process next time.
  • Is systematically creating and organizing SOPs across the business, aiming to get a couple done every day and centralize them into one usable system.
  • Developed a strong, positive 11‑person team culture after a very difficult personnel chapter, with staff “cheering each other on” through both business and personal milestones.
  • Achieved enough stability and margin to pay herself through the summer for the first time in a very long time, while keeping summer revenue and enrollment on track.
  • Expanded the school’s age range and offerings by launching a “Nest to Notes” preschool pre‑instrument program, starting as a summer intensive to establish pre‑K credibility.
  • Designed a slate of community‑building events (piano & play nights, masterclasses with guest teachers, kids‑only symphony trips) to deepen school culture rather than just “selling lessons.”
  • Went from a one‑person operation to hiring the first admin, running the first recital and major building move simultaneously, and now emerging with capacity and clear focus on the next hire.
  • After an intense year of build‑out, relocation, injury, and events, has reached a point of “coming up for air” where the only major project left is hiring a teacher, instead of constant firefighting.
  • Recognized that many parents don’t automatically see the full “student roadmap”, and is now proactively marketing the long‑term journey from baby classes through advanced options, to improve retention and lifetime value.
  • Began including staff in annual and quarterly planning for the first time, discovering they had far more input and enthusiasm than expected and now plan to allocate more time for joint planning in future years.
  • Built tighter weekly staff meeting rhythms (what’s going right/wrong, fixing kinks) that tie directly to the shared goals defined in annual planning.
  • Is actively designing and launching a new “Modern Piano” program (4‑week, repeatable, group workshop around chords/lead sheets/collaborative playing), with curriculum development now and a summer pilot before full rollout in the fall.
  • Has intentionally restructured leadership and preparation so that, even in a personally intense season (e.g., a graduating senior at home), the business runs smoothly and supports life, rather than the other way around.

What members say...

A small sampling of quotes from Forum members

CHRIS | MUSIC SCHOOL OWNER

In about a year we doubled our monthly revenue — from $9,000 to $18,000 — after I finally moved out of my home studio into a real commercial space. I went from being basically a solo teacher to running an actual school, with an admin who's become a true partner and a force multiplier in the business.

AMY | MUSIC SCHOOL OWNER

We'd been stuck around 200 students for two or three years. With a clear plan — and by actually bringing my team into it — we grew to 280 in just four or five months. Now my staff own entire programs and make their own decisions without running everything by me.

MELANIE | MUSIC SCHOOL OWNER

In March we hit our all-time record — $75,000 in tuition, up about 28% over the year before — and we finally broke past 300 students. Now, every time I have to step in and solve something, we turn it into an SOP so I'm never the one who has to solve it again.

JOE | MUSIC SCHOOL OWNER

We went from a 100-square-foot room to a 2,000-square-foot building, hired our first admin, and ran our first recital — all at once. After a year of constant build-out, I've finally come up for air. The only big project left is hiring a teacher, instead of fighting fires every week.

ALISON | MUSIC SCHOOL OWNER

Data used to be our weak spot — now we track open room spots, marketing spend, all of it. We went from basically $0 in marketing to actually committing to it. And I promoted a key team member to assistant manager, so now she tells me, I have a good job, I have a career.

STATHIA | MUSIC SCHOOL OWNER

After a really hard personnel chapter, we built an eleven-person team that genuinely cheers each other on. For the first time in a very long time, I was able to pay myself through the summer — while keeping revenue and enrollment on track. The school now supports my life, instead of the other way around.

Before you apply.

Straight answers to what owners ask us most.

Who is Founder's Forum for?
Founder's Forum is built specifically for music school owners who already have a school running and want to grow it without burning out. It's a CEO training program — not a generic business mastermind — so everything is tailored to the realities of running a studio or school.

How is this different from other coaching programs?

Most coaching hands you ideas and sends you off. The Forum installs one working system into your school each month — taught live, built together, and tracked on a dashboard — with coaching and accountability so the change actually sticks. It's structured around your real numbers, not generic frameworks.

What kind of time commitment is involved?

Plan for a few focused hours a week: a live session plus the work of building each month's system into your school. Month one is specifically designed to give you time back — most members free up 5–10 hours a month by delegating and documenting, which more than pays for the time invested.

What results can I realistically expect?

Results depend on your starting point and follow-through, so we won't promise a number. What members consistently describe is real: a clear annual plan, genuine command of their finances, systems and SOPs that reduce the fires, and enrollment that grows. The numbers on this page are actual member outcomes, not projections.

Are payment plans available?
Yes. We offer a paid-in-full option and monthly plans across the season so the program fits your school's cash flow. We'll walk through the founding rate and the plan options on your application call — no surprises.
